So if Georgia wins, do you think they avoid the immediate rematch in the playoffs?

    Because before the playoffs only the two best teams in the bcs played for the title. Now those top two teams should have a decided advantage over the other teams in the playoffs.

    Why do you want to add a "back before the playoffs" clause? Just go to 8 teams and nobody who could win it all would be left out.

    we as fans would be missing out on one playoff game while the best teams sit

    True dat. With an 8 team playoff they could have the conference champions everybody howls about and 3 others. I would add a replacement option in the case that one or more of the conferences champions were not worthy. This year Washington would be left out and we would have 4 conference champs + Georgia, Michigan and UCF. And Notre Dame who deserves to be there even if they are not in a conference.

    What'll end up happening is bye week for Bama. Hell, they could beat up on 10 or 11 cupcakes, close loss, then get byes for conference title week AND 1st round. Fuck that...
