For us to get a BCS birth (likely the Sugar Bowl)? "If LSU takes care of its business as a nearly two-touchdown favorite over a discouraged (but dangerous) Razorbacks team, the Tigers will be in the clubhouse with a 10-2 record and wait for the BCS hotline (likely the Sugar calling) to ring. The line will be disconnected, however, if Florida wins at Florida State. The Gators are No. 4 in the BCS, and if they stay would become an automatic BCS at-large team." - Scott Rabalais (Advocate Weds.)
Would we still get the bid even if we have the same record(10-2) as Florida, supposing both those things happen? They do have the head-to-head. Damn that makes my skin crawl to say that!!
I really think the winner of the SECCG gets into the NCG, and the loser gets into the Sugar. Why does everyone else not think this?
Rabalais thinks that 1) Backyard politics will do its thing 2) The Sugar Bowl Committee will remember the empty seats there the last time FLA got a Sugar Bowl bid... Good read: http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/4484455-123/rabalais-lsu-bowl-picture-gains
Yes, it will likely happen that way. The only way that may not happen, is if Georgia suffers a beat down. Two beat downs in the SEC is one too many. Then LSU goes, provided they don't lose their way in Fayetteville.
What I meant to say was UGA will be in Miami, and the ass-hurt crimson turd will likely be in the cap one because fuck bama.
Just trying to get you back to New Orleans, somehow. Though to me, it would have that returning to the scene of the crime feel.
