First, he leads Foley on into thinking for a couple of weeks that he wants the job. Then, Foley cans his boy Zook with the belief from a meeting the week before with SOS. Now, he takes the job in the same conference in the same division as his ole alma mater before they hire their coach. I wonder what impact this may have on someone UF is trying to hire. Urban Meyer more than likely would take it anyhow yet someone would be nuts to think this wouldn't affect your recruiting and overall success. interesting to say the least. or maybe its just the Augusta National free lifetime membership. with SOS its probably the combination of screwing foley by kicking his ass and getting him fired then playing golf the rest of his years laughing about it.
Those that tried to down play his fued with Foley are going to have to eat their words if he does go to SC. It would be a definite slap in the face to turn down UF and then go SC in the same division of the same conference. Can't wait to see the Gator board melt downs if it plays out that way. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:
What's gonna be hilarious is you can almost book it when they play UF next year SOS will have a nice def coordinator by the name of Ron Zook. how great is that gonna be? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Either way, I have to say that SS to South Carolina is great for the SEC. This conference is already the best in America and now that SS is going to Columbia another coach can take over at a high profile program like Florida. The SEC is now legitimately an 8 team threat in football... With SS, stack it up like this by conference: #1. AU - USC - OU - Michigan - Miami #2. UGA - Cal - TX - Wisconsin - Fla St. #3. LSU - AZ St. - A&M - Iowa - VA Tech #4. Tenn - UCLA - OK St. - Mich St. - UVA #5. SC - Oregon - TX Tech - N.Western - GA Tech #6. UF - Oregon St. - Colorado - Ohio St. - UNC I like the SEC in this comparison any day of the week!
I was thinking the exact same thing. Zook could probably attract most of the guys he had been recruiting. The recruits supposedly love him. And SOS doesnt like to recruit that much. Match made in Gator Heaven.
You can bet ole fat Fulmer is puking blood right now!!!!!!!!!! :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Just think, if Stoops went to UF the SEC would be a total bloodbath - every game would be televised - no way Stoops leaves Adrian Peterson, but can you imagine! Saban (National Championship) Stoops (National Championship) Spurrier (National Championship) Fulmer (National Championship) Tubby (National Championship - Pending) Richt (SEC Championship) Houston Nutt Sly Croom Shula Cutcliff Wow - the SEC could finally fulfill my dream and withdraw from the NCAA and start our own league - anyone think we would have trouble getting television contracts?
