Let's not forget USC has a big opening game, also. They play Va Tech in Maryland, so it's pretty much a Hokie home game. Wouldn't an early season upset be nice. It would be interesting to hear what the media would say.
The media would "Matthew 8" their overhyped butts ... There would be great wailing and gnashing of teeth :hihi: But ... they'd still find a way to get USC to Miami ... yup, yessssssssssireeee
The media would say that even though the score dictated differently USC was still clearly the winner of the game. Then they would petition the NCAA to do away with the whole "Score thing" and put the AP in charge of deciding who wins. Then Trev Albert would run for president with Pete Caroll as his vice, and a new amendment to the constitution would follow, saying that if a team isn't named the USC trojans then they can not be proclaimed the national champions under any circumstances whatsoever. Failure to adhere to this law would result in the death penalty. Well, maybe not the part about the death penalty.... lol Geaux Tigers!!
It wont matter at all because Georgia is the best team ever. They proved that last year by winning the SEC Champion... um, the National Champion... um, they beat LSU... um... They are just the best team ever. Trust me.
Of course! They would use the old 'losses hurt more at the end of the season, than early in the season' and USC would be proclaimed national champs immediately following the loss.
Thanks Swerved. That was pretty funny, and I thouroughly enjoyed it. :lsug:  :lsug:  :lsug:  :lsug:  :lsug:  :lsug:  :lsug:
Mark This Down.... If USC loses to VA Tech, then runs the table, they WILL go to Miami. The ONLY possible exception is if there are 2 undefeated teams and a 1 loss USC team, and even then I wouldn't bet against the forking media putting USC in.
