So why is Terry Martin in the doghouse?

    From lsusports.net, CTJ quote:

On why Terry Martin did not dress for tonight’s game...
“What I told the team is that I don’t expect guys to be happy they aren’t playing, I expect them to understand why they don’t play the minutes they want to play. I expect them to understand their role. All that being said, they need to come back out the next day and work hard and understand this is a team-- a team-- and that they play as a team and not as individuals. I’m not going to get into a situation where I start talking about playing time and things of that nature, because I’m too sensitive to the kids in general. That is what I told the group and Terry needs to understand that and he needs to understand that, identify his role with the team, accept it and move forward.”

Sounds like he had a bad attitude about the minutes he was getting or not getting.

because Terry's dad is a coach, so he got used to being able to be above the team in high school, which is why he butted heads with Knight, which is why he butted heads with Brady, which is why he's butting heads with Trent now.

Then he needs to have a lot more than just one good game under his belt before he starts whining about PT.

I think this is business-as-usual for Terry Martin, he hasn't seemed to get along with any coach he's had in college.

I must say that his parents are great people and Terry was brought up right. I hope he works this out and stops being a distraction. He's better than that.

The unfortunate thing about this is he could turn into a really good bench player. LSU doesn't have a lot of physicality in the paint and that limits what they can do inside, which means if Spencer, Tas or Thornton can't find their shot we need someone who can reliably produce points from the bench. Terry could be that guy if he develops some mental discipline.

Yeah, I know. We are one "big-man" away from being a very, very good team. I don't think Terry fits that role too well, but I agree that he needs to get past this. He's too good of a player to sit the bench.

If he leaves willl we accuse Coach Johnson of running players off?
