Some horrible deja vu for Marshall football program

  1. 36 years ago (Nov. 14, 1970) most of the Marshall football team died in a tragic plane crash. Many people probably are aware of the movie that will come out chronicling the tragedy ("We Are Marshall"). A total of 37 players and 5 coaches perished. They were travelling back from a game vs. East Carolina.

    Friday night, a flight carrying the Marshall football team had to be evacuated after smoke was reported in an engine. Everyone was ok. The plane was carrying the team in preparation for a game vs. East Carolina this weekend.
  2. Thats freaky. Although in todays world I wonder if the moive producers PAID the school to release this just to drum up intrest in the movie

  7. IF that were the case, then what's even sicker is Marshall agreeing to something like that...
