Somewhat OT: ESPN Article on VT Spring Football

I'm posting this just for the first paragraph. Apparently the writer didn't do his research.

He must have missed the national-championship caliber game that's next on their schedule. Whoops!

Or he's simply referencing the team and fans reuniting after the tragedy.

 

I agree, it's not like reporters and writers are known for letting facts get in the way of a good story. If it makes a good story it doesn't need to be factually accurate.
