LSU players may get in a scuffle but I doubt we will see a Nick Saban team get in an all out brawl like these teams today. If so, there would be some hell to pay in the locker room.
I hope to never see it at LSU but with the thug mentality promoted openly in professional sports these days who knows. These young kids watch professional athletes they idolize act like street thugs while tens of thousands of fans cheer them on and think that this is acceptable behavior. Saban has run a very tight ship but he can only control so much, hopefully athletes at LSU understand that what we saw at SC is not acceptable here. It's also a real sour note for Holtz to go out on.
I saw a quote from Holtz last year after that rumor circulated where he said that he did not vote for USC. I am not a Holtz fan and don't know which is true but I doubt holtz would flat out lie about which way he voted.
I think its safe to say that he didn't vote for Auburn this year either. I did like the guy until that incident last year and now I can't stand him. I don't trust him, there are plenty of people who tell little white lies all the time. Clinton didn't have sex with that woman either :dis:
scary thought, seems like Halloween of sorts. I wonder if the country would take notice if another brawl happens tonight.
It's been awhile but in about 81 or 82 there was an all-out-brawl with Tulane at the end of the game. I haven't seen too much of what happened in the Clemson/SC game but what I saw was pretty much the same thing that happened then. I don't put it past ANY team, whoever coaches them, to get into a situation like this.
I was born and raised in Columbia, SC... went to LSU and Im a die hard Tigers fan, but you have to understand the undieing hate each team has for the other. Clemson and Carolina have now started picking up Thugs to play football, and the result is what was seen today. I was embarrassed for the State and college football when I saw the fight. And yes I agree Nick would never allow something like that to happen in DV or on the road... even if Franchione went back to Bama and put it on us today.... Holtz doesnt have the fear of god in his players... Saban does
