Southern Sports Tonight is in BR today. Right off I-12 where they sell Tiger merchandise. They made a lot of compliments to the Tigers. They said that out of an approximate 100 players on the team, 82 came from the state of Louisiana. 12 from Texas. 11 from Fla. 4 from Ms. Scott laughed at the sight of BIG HERMAN. He said he knew Andre the Giant and that Andre was not as large as Herman. Also said JaMarcus (sp) just may be the best athelete on the team. He said he would not be surprised if Herman plays some at DT. Who could move him?
Jamarcus may have the best arm on the team, but as far as calling him the best athlete, that just may be a bit of a stretch.
marcus spears was on just now. they asked him which was his revelation game when he knew LSU could win the NC....oddly enough he said the UF because they went out there just expecting to win. So when they lost, he knew they would focus the rest of the way and had a good chance to win every game. also said when asked about the current defense compared the last year's...if it could be as good or better. He said they need to have to develop their new identity first before knowing. good answer. I cringe when i see people saying this defense will be better than possibly the best LSU defense ever. that's very improbable but hey, little nickie is the HC. if so, then I think I will be in 'shock and awe' all year. Anything close would do me just fine.
is it just me or are these guys the biggest goobers ever...when i hear this show its like "the glen campbell good time hour" revisited...im waiting for aunt bee to bring these boobs one of her pies
it does...as i listen to this im whistling the andy griffith theme...and jethro, elly maye and myself are going swimming in the cement pond...gotta go
Don't cringe man. The only reason why I think this team will field an even better defense is that 7 of the 11 have already bought into the system and believe in it wholeheartedly, speaking of the defensive schemes we employ. It all works based on single man to man coverage, and LSU may have the 2 best in the nation at DB, as far as man to man coverage. You have great backups at DL that are itching to get more PT and you bring on a junior college stud who will make an immediate impact. The linebacker you lost was your weakest of the 3 you had, and the replacement(s) should be just as effective. My only question is replacing Jack Hunt. If it was not for that, I would definitely guarantee this defense would be better than last year's. Shall we agree to say that it will be fun finding out?
