Was cruising a couple of Hokie forums - I don' think some of these folks understand what they're about to experience. Commenters talking about how loud Lane Stadium is, so they'll be ready for Death Valley, etc, etc. Nice people. Too bad they're about to lose their innocence...:hihi:
I heard a couple of times during the ECU game they sounded pretty loud. I'm interested in the ones who come for the game and get their impressions. I hope it isn't too ugly too early.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rQvu2lm_cw This is the VT entrance that ive heard many VT fans bragging about.
They have no idea what they are in for. I remember when we played at VT. It was our first game on the road at VT and their second game at home. They took it to us and our team played like it was our first game with a lot of mistakes. What was disappointing was how their fans kept chanting "overated". They were sky high because they were beating LSU, an SEC school and really rubbed it in. I can't wait to watch our Tigers pay this Hokie program back. It was really hard when they backed out of the game the next year at LSU. I've been wanting this game for a long time. I'm recording it. No Mercy! :thumb: This games about football :crystal:.
I was at the VaTech game Saturday, sitting right next to one of the student sections. It was kinda loud at times, but not Tiger Stadium loud by any means.
The title of this thread reminds me of what was going on on this board last time we played VaTech. We were all bragging about VaTech had no idea what they were in for. That said, if our team can take care of business on the field, home-field won't be disappointing.
I recall an article that came out on the VT school site the day after the game. The writer suggested that LSU had been intimidated by the size and noise of the 65,000+ who attended the game. The cHokie fans buy that crap hook, line, and sinker. The Tigers intimidated by 65,000? ridiculous. Their forums are inundated by silly comment after silly comment about how ferocious their crowd is. A crowd that small could only be really loud in a dome.
