does anybody have a plausible explanation to where Starkvegas came from or what it implies? obviously it appears to be a joining of Starkville and Las Vegas, but I personally don't see the connection btw those two. has there been a boom in casinos there? or are they known for there betting on college sports?? i guess i'm clueless
I think its just a joke that refers to the lack of action in Starksville....I guess calling it "StarkVegas" is just making fun of that.... One of our coaches said that when the team would go to starksville, he would request the room "without the view."
Its just a joke..Starkville is the absoulte end of the Earth. Its by far the worst hell hole in the SEC..well, maybe Auburn gives them a run for their money. Hell, you cant even buy cold beer there.
OK so it's a "hellhole", but I still don't get the "Vegas" part. there's lots of "action" in Las Vegas. sorry, still don't get it... anyone else?

Actually I think Oxford is by far the worst place in this world. Makes me sick to even think about it! About the Starkvegas thing....I have a bunch of friends who live there. I'll see what they say about how it got that name.
