whoever the coaches think has what it takes. Obviously that's both, currently or neither.

    Neither deserves to start.
We have QB A and QB B, A comes in and plays before B.
You go with whichever QB is hot or becomes effective.

This is what is called a 2 QB system.
They are both too inconsistant to be starters at this point.

    Just my 2 cents, IMHO

    HOW ABOUT THIS.

SHOTGUN FORMATION, RANDALL, RUSSELL, AND FLYNN ALL IN THE BACKFIELD AT THE SAME TIME. THAT'LL KEEP EM GUESSIN.

A 2 QB formation did come into my mind the other day.
If Jimbo came up with that and it worked he would be part of football history
    along with LSU.

I don't think its a bad idea at all under the circumstances.
Its not like either guy couldn't play a position along with QB.
    Randall=RB on some plays
Russell=FB or TE? I'd still have them both line up together in the QB position.
Have one go into motion if played FB or TE?
    OR
Just have them both stand side by side until the ball is snapped?
Would be interesting and would put this stuff to rest

here's the snap.....it's to Randall.......option left........he pitches to Russell......Russell rolls around the end.......it's a pass, it's a pass.......russell has a man......it's Dwayne Bowe.......caught, caught.......TOUCHDOWN TIGERS!!!!!. My oh MY what a play 80 yards for the score. Who would have saw that coming.

    extra point is no good.

ND did this last season, and has toyed with it again this season. Granted, the 2nd QB has since changed positions to slot back/WR, but during the Mich game they said it opened up all kinds of options for what they could do on O.

I can't imagine Saban/Fisher doing something like that, but he might if any more polls come out. :D
