I know its pretty much a given that Russell will be the starter, but technically its still open because Miles never made an announcement (didn't he said he would announce it before the game?). There is a rumor on Tigerbait's forums that Flynn is the starter, but I'm sure that they are the ones who started the rumor. I understand not announcing the starter before the game becuase this means that ASU has to prepare for a drop-back pocket guy (Russell) and scramblers (Flynn, Perrilloux). I wonder how much of each we will see? I expect Flynn to get a look even if Russell starts, and Perrilloux will likely see a few gimick plays, some clean-up if the oppurtunity is there... Any other opinions?
He said he'd make a decision Thursday, not that he'd announce it to us hosers on Thursday. The Flynn thread on TB has no substance when you open it to read...JR is the starter, Flynn #2.
Miles HINTED that he would annouce a starter on Thursday - never actually said it. I'm sure the team knows who the QB is right now, but Miles didn't want ASU to know. ASU's coach has said that they are game planing for it to be russell. I'd be shocked as hell if Flynn got it... but you never know.
