Neither played a great deal and JV took a couple of shots. Does anybody have any word on them?

Did they play limited time because the coaches are working them in slowly or are there other issues?

Hopefully they are just working them in slowly and all is well.

On another subject, it was quite obvious that RP wanted to run some more plays and was a little upset after the time ran out. I agree with Miles, run the ball and run the clock out but you knew RP wanted to run or pass. He walked off the field kicking rocks.

I wish they would've put him in one series early though.

It's tough to keep 3 quarterbacks happy. There just isn't enough time to go around. Plus, with these early games we have to get reps in with our starters for familiarity as well, not just to make sure we win. I think we'll see more of him against a team like Tulane later in the season.

I think you're right CParso. I think it is more of me being selfish in wanting to see RP a bit more. Hopefully the Tulane game will satisfy.

Is there anything on Alley or JV?

I think the score and LM wanting to see the reserves was why JV & AB were pulled. As tight lipped as LM is on injuries even if they were dinged he probably wouldn't tell us.

I thought they should have put Ryan in a series earlier, or when he went in, through it every down to get him some reps and stop the clock if incomplete. We could have gone to the run and killed the clock at their 5 yd line like last week.

The RBs not playing is simply called "Auburn"

We already knew we had Zona beat... why risk it.

I tell you, this Charles Scott kid looks great.

For those who haven't seen him, or haven't paid attention to when he's in there, he runs just like Tiki Barber; holding the ball really high in his arms. He has a real unique running style

Alley and or JV may be a little tweaked, but I don't think it is anything serious & I don't expect to hear anything from Miles on it.

I thought Russell was in for two drives more than needed. What if he had been hurt in a won game? Remember Mauck at Florida? Perrilloux could have had a couple of extra drives in the 4th quarter. We aren't going to get an opportunity in every game to play these guys.

Flynn had to get a few reps as well. But yes, I think they just kept Russell in the 2nd half till they scored once more. As soon as they scored, Flynn went in. Shame Perrilloux didn't get more reps. ~50 seconds in the 4th quarter to hand off 2 balls isn't much. I'm sure Les is sweet talking him with more playing time against Tulane and teams like that later in the year.

One reason Alley hasn't played more is that his conditioning isn't up to par and Miles has said as such.

As far as JV goes- would you want him in more? I love the guy, but he just hasn't been performing that well this year. I hope he can prove me wrong.
