1. another fast bite this morning but still mostly short fish. Only got 8 specks for the box plus about 20 big whites and ground mullet. Lotta boats out week days ain't what they used to be. Last 3 trips got on a good legal fish bite mid morning only to have it shut down quick by getting run on by other boats. Gettin a little irritating when it's happening on a Tuesday.

  2. I can't stand that. Assholes everywhere.
  3. My friends around Hackberry always coveted the specs. Are those the best-tasting saltwater fish, in your opinion?
  4. No not even close. I much much prefer ground mullet, white trout, and flounder. My list goes those 3, then panfish be it bream, she'll crackers or white perch, then specks. So they 5th on the list for me if you lump all the panfish together.
  5. Would one of them have the initials JM?
  6. Easy, I said salt water. Nothing better than white perch and bream in my book.

Had so many. We had a camp there once and through college rodeo, I knew quite a few. Little's, Duval's, Trahan's, don't even remember some of their last names. The "M" doesn't register.
  7. Mitchell
  8. No sir.
  9. He married a girl from Hackberry shortly after I entered the Air Force in '66. He worked at one of the plants near Lake Charles. Last time I saw him was when I went home for a reunion 20 years ago.
  10. Nothing.....
