aint no bear gonna get the drop on me. been at the camp for a month or so. Killed a few bucks. Nothing special just solid legal bucks with one being a pretty good one. Will make a post later with pics etc. Been pretty slow really not many deer being seen or killed and I have had the kids with me a bunch since they old enough to tag along now so really have not hunted like I normally do more just focused on having them enjoy it which was not easy given the temperatures we all have been having.
Mainly some public ground in central MS, some other public ground in south MS, and some other public ground around the house in deep south MS. Occasionally venture over to some public ground in west central AL and last year hunted some in SE LA for the first time and might go back lots a critter sign in there to go get back on if I get bored around here.
Well it's good but it's still public land. Like any you gotta do some leg work but with enough effort and time there are good deer on all the public statewide they just ain't behind every bush
I’ve hunted the one at the reservoir on 43 a few times. My grandparents have a farm in north Madison County, and it’s produced some nice bucks in the past. I haven’t hunted it in years, though.
Madison county along the big black river corridor is prime big buck country. Highest priced hunting leases in the state are along there. What's the address to that farm ha?
