Successful tactics are often picked up by other teams

    I can't help but notice in most of LSU's games this year some heavy blitzing while our young QB is on the field. I know this is a normal practice when you face an inexperienced QB, but these blitzes sure look really familiar - they look a lot like LSU's did last year.

    I think it's a real compliment to Nick Saban that other teams are now using some of his defensive NFL-style tactics.

    the best place to blitz a QB, especially a young one, is from the inside. when a QB sees LBs coming in on delayed blitzes, the QB makes mistakes for fear of getting hit. at least when they come on the outside, a QB can usually time his throw to get it off. that is one of the hallmarks of a nick saban defense and other teams will employ this with our inexpericed QBs.

    Yeah you are definitely right....especially in the Auburn and Georgia games.....
