One of my favorites. Reminds me of when I was a kid going to the city swimming pool EVERY day in the summer with the smell of chlorine in the air. Seams like that song was always playing on the radio. Here is one I have always liked:
Cali, I LOVE "Summer Breeze." Big Wee, my favorite Hootie song is "Let Her Cry." And as for my favorite soft rock--anything by Journey, my all-time favorite band.
"Summer Breeze" fits this category to a "T" so would "Hummingbird". Can't have a thread with "Summer Breeze" without also having Mungo Jerry's "In The Summertime". Not soft rock but still a good song. When I was a young kid (as ealry as 5 making my oldest brother 10 at the time) my dad would take me and my three older brothers trawling in Vermillion Bay. We absolutely loved it, it was quite an experience when the net came up each time and we had no idea what we would drag up. Anyway, our boat was named "Summer Wind" thus, "In the Summertime" became our boat's theme song. We played the "record" everytime we returned from a trawling trip while we were cleaning our catch at home. Funny how the older you get, the more important all those fun times become.
