    and by the way... torn meniscus= season ender... just for those of you who aren't medical majors :yelwink2:

    dude... I am not even a medical student... I am a Mass Comm man...

    I just know from watching sports all my life, that this injury is a season ender this late in the year...

    You know, kind of like a Torn ACL, or a Achilles Tendon tear...

    I guess this is all foreign to you though

    Not true ... it all depends on the severity of the tear.

    A small tear is solved by simply removing the torn portion of the meniscus and he could be back in 4-6 weeks. If the tear is more severe and they attempt to repair the meniscus, then he'll likely be out the rest of the year.

    I know that much, but you can attempt to play with a small tear...

    The fact that we demanded he have surgery and are already talking medical redshirt leads me to believe it is what we all fear... and that is Ben Voogd playing vital minutes for us in March

    Torn meniscus doesn't necessarily mean season ending, take it from someone who has had 3 knee surgeries. Also it is absolutely nothing like an ACL or Achillies tendon tear.
