With a USC loss looming in the very near future, the gap between #2 Michigan and the rest of the field will be huge. Should Ohio State lose to Michigan in a very close hard fought contestin the last game of the regular season, there is a great chance that Ohio State would only fall to #2 in the BCS rankings. This would mean a rematch of Michigan vs. Ohio State for all the marbles in the BCS title game. Stranger things have happened.
Yeah, remember UF and FSU a fewwwww years back. They played to a tie in the last game of the season and had a rematch in the SB. I know it wasn't the BCS back then, but it still happened.
To whom? The Oregon team that got beat by Wazoo or the Cal team that nearly lost to Washington. If you think that crappy ND team has a shot, fuhgeddaboutit. UCLA? Please. It's USC and the UM/OSU* winner for all the marbles. Go Big 10! *None of which has to endure a Conference Championship game.
The last few opponents have almost won against USC, it says more about how USC is playing rather who they're playing. Oregon and Cal are a lot better than the teams USC have almost lost to the past few weeks. USC is very vulnerable and unlike those weaker teams Oregon, Cal, or ND will capitalize on their mistakes and win.
Louisville's schedule is laughable. Big 10 is horrible this year, no doubt. But the Big Least is well.....
Could not agree more. But, you get the college football pundits assuming the national championship bid is as good as theirs, due to the upcoming weak schedule (minus Michigan), who I believe is smoke and mirrors. Then, give utterly no credit to an LSU or Auburn for blowing out a team they should. I actually heard one of the ESPN nerds call the Mississippi game a glorified scrimmage for LSU. Of course, it had nothing to do with how we played. I guess it's just frustrating when...yes we lost to two top 10 teams. But I am not impressed by Ohio State in the slightest. Each week I check to see who the requisite annointed play (OSU, USC, ND, etc.), and each week I am dissapointed. Oh well, I know it's been hashed before...Onward.
OSU smacked around #2 Texas in their own house. Same with Iowa (38-17) in a hostile environment. OSU clearly is the number 1 team in the country and i don't see how you aren't impressed with them? OSU doesn't usually blow people out because of Tressel's nature. He has a habit of letting weaker teams hang around for the first half but in every game OSU always pulls away, whether its texas or indiana. LSU has dominated everyone but hasn't gotten it done on the road, i don't blame the writers for that. Winning tough games on the road seperates an elite team from a great team.
