    I think a case could be made both ways martin. While I'd say the recruiting numbers have held much stronger than I could have imagined, there are still lots of "Soldiers" that do their best turn weasel when the crap hits the fan. "I'm a conscientious objector", "I'm the only living male in my bloodline" --- to some of these my reply was THANK GOD. Some claim to all of a sudden be gay, my wife is pregnant, Grandpa has the gout, it's deer season, I've heard them all.

    I am sure there plenty of braves fellas and cowardly fellas in every genration, in every country, at all times. Human nature is a relative constant.

    Thousands of young men and women continue to volunteer to put their lives on the line for this country. I'd say this generation is doing fine.
