This is a question and im throwing it out there cause i want to believe all Tigers can make it professionally. Do you think G. Temple can make it to the NBA? I think GT can be compared to San Antonio's Bruce Bowen. Both are known as defensive stoppers with length. GT's numbers don't reach out and grab you but neither did Bowen's (11 ppg and 6 reb in his stay at Cal fullerton). I think the plus with GT is that he played point and even tho thats not his natural spot he makes good passes and can do a good job of bringing the ball up the court and getting the open man the ball. Bowen is also known for his 3 point shooting but thats something that GT could get better at with time if he can get his shooting wrist completely heald. I think GT would be a good free agent pick up and could stick on a team.
i think there is no way. mainly because he's got smarts and wont want to go to europe or some other leagues to prove himself. thats what he'd have to do. he'd have to prove that he would not be an offensive liability. that basically means that he'd have to be able to finish on fastbreaks, and knockdown 3/4 of open 15-20 footers.
Garrett Temple cannot shoot consistently. Therefore, he cannot play in the NBA. If every game was like his Florida game, he'd be SEC Player of the Year and a top 10 draft pick. ETA: Bowen might have averaged 11 and 6, but Garrett barely averages 7 and has 4 ppg over the last 3 games in shooting 4 of 16. 25% isn't gonna get it done. /thread
Also, Marcus has been shooting it 38% from the field (including 24% from 3) over the past 3 games, which is a sharp decline from his averages up to that point. (48%,40%). That may have a lot to do with our struggles.
