Tennessee just won. Yep, Freshmen QB's can't win in the SEC.

No....freshman QBs can't beat a good team PLUS the refs at the same damn time.

Well, each team had a freshman at qb so something had to give. Of course a freshman qb won. The only way a freshman qb wouldn't have won is if it ended in a tie.

That's a little harsh. How is the SEC so good if all the teams are inferior and suck? Russell is not god, in fact he is just a kid QB learning the college game. I hate having to defend Randell because I don't like him that much, but I can't stand by and read this **** with commenting. Russell threw the INT, right? Randell threw the TD, right?

Just because Tenn won with a freshman QB, doesn't mean that every single team in the nation should start their stud freshman QBs. Russell should see plenty of playing time, and used more than an average back up . . . but Randell should get the start until he loses games for us. The Tigers came out fast and strong, scoring on the first drive (moving the ball well with both the run and the pass). Then Saban made the mistake of taking Randell out and ruining everything that had been established on that first drive. Even still, we controlled the ball and the game . . . until the final QTR, when the ball was exclusively in Russell's hands.

Russell is a good QB, but I can't be the only one tonight who saw all those passes that were either too low or behind the WR. I don't blame him, he is young and those things will work themselves out in time. But Randell is not trash, and Russell needs more time before he can truely lead this team. This AU game proved that.

Its not the end of the world, its one loss?
Remember how Nick rallied the troops after our big loss to Florida at home last year.

So what if Auburn won, are you scared they are going to go undefeated or
    something?

Our next game is just as important as the one today.

If we can win the rest of our games and get our act together todays game
    means nothing.
In other words there are plenty of games left to re-deem ourselves.

We only have 1 loss and its not the end of the world.
Auburn isn't as bad as you make them to be, if it was Vandy or MSU I'd be
    worried.

You can't always win against a quality opponent on the road in the SEC.
You need to take it easy!

I stand corrected. You must forgive me, I'm still thinking of him as a freshman.

And even with all that valuable experience last season as a freshman, he couldn't beat Tenn tonight. In fact he threw an important INT, and missed some open WRs. It's a team sport, it's more than just who the QB is. Mauck proved you don't have to be the most talented guy on the field, just the guy who can manage a game.

This doesn't bother me too much but for the sake of the sanity of some on this board, it's "Randall". Just a friendly correction. ;)

Oh gosh, woe is us for being fans of a team that can't find someone who can avoid the rush and consistently throw pinpoint accurate passes to the right place and at the right time. If only we had Jamie Howard in there in the 4th quarter to do it... It's been over EIGHT MONTHS since we won a friggin' national championship. I don't know about you all, but I'm getting impatient! How much longer will we have to put up with this sh!t?! Nick Saban and his staff used to be good coaches - good enough to win the BCS Championship. What happened to them? They have now lost ONE game in a row! So what if it was on the road against a nationally ranked conference rival?! Golly gee, they're supposed to win all of those games!

Thanks, can't expect me to have my mind functioning correctly after losing a close game like that. However, I think I make that mistake all the time. I'm just a piss poor speller. :)
