Mass shooters expect to die but they want to achieve maximum damage before they go out. I't might make a few of them think they will be killed before they reach their goal.
So what? I don't care why someone shoots on campus. Only that somebody shoots on campus. What are you saying? A citizen with a gun can't or won't stop a shooting because a guy look like a drug dealer? What are they supposed to do? Get lunatics to wear a T-shirt that says "Crazed Terrorist"?
Both of you are right. Anyways, I don't mind that law abiding citizens want to carry. It probably makes my life safer and theirs less safe. I don't fear rednecks getting drunk and shooting up George's. I do fear those same rednecks might shoot their wife in a fight, or their kid might shoot them by accident, or far more likely, they kill themselves. But I dunno if I consider that to be my problem. So they can have all the guns they want as far as I am concerned. Guns isn't really an issue worth caring about. It's not important and you can't change things much anyways.
I am simply saying that the vast majority of legal gun owners are responsible for a very small percentage of gun violence.
A lot of cops go to Georges. Sometimes at lunch time there are 5 or 6 EBR Sheriff's cars parked in front of the George's on Highland Rd.
I can't really imagine a scenario where joe average is a risk to me in any way except when he is drunk driving. joe average doesn't shoot Martin. Everybody likes Martin. Joe average is a risk to himself and his family when armed, but not Martin.
Now that you mention George's I'm getting hungry. I think I'll go get a catfish platter. Their thin cut catfish are very good.
Mainly because they don't carry them around. But legal gun owners are a large percentage of gun accidents, gun misbehavior, and gun irresponsibility.
The concealed carry group are much more responsible than Joe redneck in my experience. Everyone I know takes it seriously and are not involved in the stupid accidents you read about regularly. Still not excited about universities having armed students.
