"the normal occasional occurrences of open water in summer over the North Pole, droughts, floods, hurricanes, sea-level variations, etc. are all taken as omens, portending doom due to our sinful ways" exactly. we are desperate for redemption. well i am not, but liberals and christians are. they just find it different places.
In other words global warming, mother earth is a religion for some who don't follow a religion. It takes just as much faith to believe in man made conspiracies than it does to believe in a religion or a god. I once heard a lady who was a democrat say that she felt guilty to live in America and have it so well. I asked why, I take it as a gift, we were blessed and lucky to be born in this country. We could have been born in Iran or some place like that! People should be proud and happy to be in this county. If you feel guilty about having it so well help out your fellow man in this country or a somewhere else.
