You wouldn't be posting if we got those 4 out of 6 you speak of. You relish in pointing out any negative occurrences related to LSU, or maybe more accurately, CLM. We'll get as many from other states that we lose, that I am sure of. I also know that tonight wasn't NSD. Even if we had gotten verbals from everyone we were purported to get, I wouldn't have been resting easy b/c it is still a long way to NSD.
There is no doubt that the fence is down. LSU has lost a lot of instate talent recently. Much more than normal. Then to top it off we lose out on Brown who was thought to be all LSU. Unless Miles steps up his coaching and beats Saban sometime we will stay second or worse.
I get that we are recruiting better nationally than ever before. I do get that and Im happy for that. However it doesnt make up for losing so many instate kids like we have recently been losing. If we pick up Carter, Jackson, etc that could help make up. Still, its not a good sign when we keep losing so many instate kids. Like Ive said, I just dont have any more faith in Miles. He will always have a good team but I dont see us being elite anymore. I hope he proves me wrong, Id love to eat that crow.
Bottom line is we can't count on recruits from outside LA. We did very well this season, but we won't do that every year.
