I just wanted to recap some reasons that it is good to be a Tiger Fan and maybe help some of the gloom and doom people wake up!!! 1.) Our team is 9-2 playing for the chance to finish the regular season at 10-2 . If we win this game and our bowl game it will be 2 consecutive seasons of 11-2 . That has never been done at LSU by any Coach ever. 2.) Our recruiting this year is shaping up to be an even better class than last year . That bodes well for the future and believe me talent is the lifeblood of good teams. 3.) Stability at the program. With the possible loss of 2 co-ordinators at LSU our Head Coach and AD have proven good at hiring for these positions in the past. 4.) Next year we have a very favorable schedule with our tough teams at home . And our defense comes back with a lot of starters. 5.) We do need some receivers and defensive backs for next year so looking to this past recruiting year we have alot of talent waiting in the wings to take over. 6.) Why are our fans so forgetfull of the blessings we have . Because we have come to expect excellence from our sports teams and are not satisfied with just winning anymore. This can be a positive if we dont eat our young in the process. 7.) Tiger Stadium is one of the greatest experiences in college football and living in California i am so damn jealous of people who get to go to the games on a regular basis. Appreciate what those of you have that can root for our Tigers in person. Dont take it for granted and be a positive for our players. 8.) I know there are alot of you that have still not accepted Coach Miles and i cant say i really understand that after what we have all been through together these past 2 years. Coach Miles is an LSU man and looking at the loss Michigan has suffered in losing their longtime Coach just like LSU did with Charley Mac men like Coach Miles are not standing on every street corner. 9.) Our players are graduating and we have a program we can be proud of and alot is expected of our players leadership wise. I for one like the way our program looks . Coach Miles is a good man and i like that fact. And i see great things ahead for LSU with him as our Coach. 10.) I have purple and gold glasses on and believe me brother they aint ever comin off. I got in a screamin match with an USC fan just the other day. Aint college football great. Geaux Tigers I want me some fresh killed ham and bacon for breakfast on Saturday!!!!

I put LSU on par with any other school in the country with running a clean program, and that counts all athletics.
Good post calco. It does suck living out of town and not being able to attend games in Tiger Stadium. We can still represent by wearing and flying purple and gold!:crystal:

Great post. One of the things I've had reinforced in three years on the board is that we are the greatest fans in college football. Unfortunately, at times we are also the worst. We could be 11 - 0, ranked #1 in every poll, and we'd still find time and a reason to bitch about something. :lol: We have lofty goals and expectations and get our feathers ruffled when they aren't met. We often forget that these young men are student athletes, putting in a lot of hours, and are doing their damnest to represent our great university in a manner that makes us proud. And although we critique and critize the coaching staff unmercifully, let us not forget the time and effort they put in on our behalf. The results aren't too bad either. I sometimes wonder what it will take to make some fans happy with Les Miles. I also wonder who is going to ruin the success that we are currently enjoying right now, the idiotic fans or Les Miles.
