All I could think was this game was gonna come down to a kick. I'm glad it didn't.

Malzahn's offense just doesn't click when he doesn't have an athlete at qb that is a running threat. LSU showed ZERO respect for him running on zone read.

On a side note, watching Etling run is a thing of beauty.

It's strange in that he shows so much toughness running but will flinch in the face of the rush and won't go through his progressions.

Oh hell no, I seem to remember Mauck running much more smoothly. I give him credit, he’s more nimble than Mettenberger, and he often gets positive yards when he decides to tuck and run.

I think he is too loose with the football. I also think someone like Isaiah Buggs is going to murder him on the field soon. He bails too quick, he throws off his back foot when he doesn't have to.

But then at times he makes the wild plays running for his life and he ain't sliding when a first down is on the line, but lowering his head and fighting his ass off for yards.

I respect him. I really do, I think he deserves it, his life depends on his line and they were a shit load better tonight, but they have been bad all season. What I've seen, is Danny and the receivers make too many mistakes in the same games. When Danny isn't accurate but accurate enough those guys MUST go get the football. And Danny has to trust his receivers to go get it. That all happened today. When Danny overthrew Gage he made a diving catch. Chark made a bunch of big receptions and some of those balls were 50/50 balls; Chark and Gage both bailed their qb out today, and that has to happen because Danny isn't consistently accurate. I absolutely loved that backshoulder throw tonight to Chark though.

You're right though he doesn't go through his progressions either.

Mauck post foot injury. He ran a lot more before he was injured. When he came back he didn't run that much anymore

Man, you can fill in just about any QB we had in the last 10 years and that statement will still ring true.

i was actually disappointed in the crowd early.
    place never filled up.

yes it was brutal hot. my seats are on the East side. Shade didn’t reach me until we had the lead late.

crowd was small, but still loud down the stretch.
