It is true you once called timeout while coaching Indiana to take a picture of the scoreboard because Indiana had its first lead in many over Ohio State?
    Matt, Columbus, Ohio

Yes, it's true. We took an early 7-6 lead against the No. 8 Buckeyes in 1976, marking the first time in 25 years an Indiana team even held a lead against a Woody Hayes-coached team, so I gathered my team at the end of the field nearest the scoreboard for a quick picture. The photographer found me after the game and asked if I wanted another picture, but a 47-7 final in favor of Ohio State wouldn't have looked as good as the first one.

I think back to LSU coaches, and I can totally see Curly doing this against the Gators.
  2. I dunno....Curley having a lead against anyone, let alone the gaytors, is quite a stretch.
  3. I don't think Curley had enough personality to have done that.
