The PI that was never called

Just playing the what if here, but....

Am I the only one who was absolutely furious that on the final TD pass, PI was NOT called with the defensive back facing the WR with his arms obviously around him trying to stop him from getting them up to catch the ball?

To further play the what if?....if the flag is thrown, and the pass incomplete, then it's a 25 yrd fg instead of a 40 yarder because of the 15 yrd penalty.

Just wondering if anyone else thought this was an obviously blown call.

PS...just happened to be the same guy who DID throw the flag on Seltz.

Auburn brought their officials with them again but we overcame it.

On the chop block the ref was standing their watching the guy.

They need to see what refs had money on the spread in this game.

The SEC.. Best league, worst refs.

What about the the replay on the holding call? There was no need to replay the incomplete pass footage. We took the penalty anyway, Thanks for wasting 4 minutes of my life. Ref also should have picked up the flag before reviewing the Hester TD.

How could the umpire miss the crackback on Dorsey? And does the SEC only allow their officials to call a maximum of one holding call a game?

On the Hester TD I think they were reviewing the penalty, that one they got wrong.

I don't think Byrd was far back enough for the ignoramuses on WEN to be crying as hard as they are about it especially given the number of times that Chaz Ramsey tackled Drake Nevis and didn't get called for it, not to mention his ridiculous dirty knee dive on Dorsey.

It's possible that they were reviewing the penalty, but the ref never said. On every other occasion before the two times tonight, the official settles these issues before going to the video. If he has to go to the video, he first tells us what is being reviewed.

One of the worst calls of the night was the reception out of bounds by an Auburn receiver which was later overturned. The official was standing in perfect position yet he called it a reception. The no call on the foul by the Auburn center on Dorsey is disgusting. That official should be reprimanded.

Last week the Kentucky wr head butted Steltz and no flag. This week Steltz head butted the Auburn receiver and it cost us fifteen yars??

You can bet that CLM will be sure that the SEC receives a video of that chicken poop non call. Also a few facemasks that weren't called and a few others as well.

Karma is a real biotch. Dirty play bought them a lot of NEGATIVE Karma tonight. :eek:ldskule:

We could all watch replays and find penalties called, not called on just about every play. If all were flagged, football would become a very boring game. We could both find plays that did not represent sportsmanship on both sides.

I believe that the Byrd call was originally correct, but CTT kicking short and AU's inability to cover (Or LSU's ability to split our coverage) or tackle consistently were much greater factors in AU's loss.

What the hell was he thinking? It's not like we've been burning up the league with our KO returns. That strategy was idiotic from the get go. It looked like he was hoping to grab a rebound off the cover guy. What a dummy.
