who cares what people say. Everyone has an opinon...Hell, he could be right. The ball may bounce the tother teams way a few times and LSU could lose 3 games. Who knows? It's all opinons. Nothing to get angry over.

hold the phone didnt CFN.com predict LSU to go undefeated and win it all?

these guys should really get together and have a discussion with themselves... sounds like a communication problem of talking out of both sides of their mouths maybe?

They predicted us to lose to Bama... I'm sure it was a collaborative effort for all of them....

This was an answer of Matthew Zemek...

    http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2005/TQ/Tuesday_Question.htm

Pete Fiutak has always given LSU it's due respect (He continues to refer to this as a possible two-and-a-half peat year for USC) along with the most of CFN...

There's always going to be someone on the other side of the argument. He is obviously on USC's bandwagon and not on LSU's (or the SEC's rather...).

I don't consider the West thin... It's almost as deep as the East... We have 3 good teams (I expect Auburn to go 9-2, and Bama to do well also, I can't remember exactly what...). Bama is much better than people think. If their O-Line can protect Croyle (I don't thin they can, they havn't before), then they will surprise people. The East has UT, Florida, and UGA. Florida has to prove EVERYTHING.... They have shown nothing so far. UGA is the East's Bama: underrated and a surprise team(for the East title, that is...). UT and LSU are neck-and-neck at this point.

Then it goes to Arkansas and USC... and then the bottom-feeders.... Though I feel Kentucky and MSU will start to rise a bit... :eek:lefire:

Hrm... this seems to have become an East vs. West comparison for me... Whatever....

Expectations are always high at LSU. The difference is that most of the media are feeding our expectations. A "decided underdog?" That's the thing I do not get. If LSU gets to the SECCG, they will have no more than 2 losses. I do not believe anyone that lines up against LSU this year will be a heavy favorite.

    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

I have a really hard time putting any stock into the words of someone who contradicts themselves with two consecutive statements as he has done here.

I'm really curious as to what, exactly, constitutes a 'surprise' to this fella. Apparently, it's fufilling what every single talking head in the country expects you to do.

Why is the NCAA making the Rubbers even play their games this year? Evidently, none of the teams on their schedule is even worth their time.

I think he's got a valid opinion. Talent doesn't mean anything without a quality coach & solid quarterback. His guess is based on his feelings about Miles as a coach more than anything. I think he's wrong about both Miles' coaching ability & JR's poise, but time will tell us who's right pretty shortly.

He could end up being right pretty easily & this way, CFN covers all their bases.

The thing that gets me, is that no one is willing to go out on a branch & say that Meyer's offense won't succeed in the SEC. I personally think he'll be pretty successfull, but basically the only places offenses like his have worked are at mid-majors so you have to consider the possability that he won't be Florida's savior.

No doubt about it! Maybe it's just that sure of a thing so nobody thinks it will fail. But that's a ridiculous assertion. The jury should be very iffy about it translating to the near-pro conferences, but I guess the writers are worried about being "that guy that questioned the obvious greatness of Urban."

I laugh my ass off at morons like this who pop off with out looking at the WHOLE picture. I bet this guy is one of those people who are worshipping at the altar of the Urban Legend. Now who has better credentials...Miles or Meyer? Well let's see...Meyer came from coaching at Bowling Green and Utah - that's the MAC and Mountain West conferences, lot of BIG TIME pressure there....ppppllllease. Now, Les Miles took a suffering program like Oklahoma State and made it a very competitive program in a major BCS conference. In four games against Oklahoma, a program that's been in 4 national championship games, Miles has a 2-2 record against the Mighty Bob Stoops. I just don't understand where these people keep thinking that Les Miles is suddenly going to be overwhelmed by the SEC, but Urban Meyer definitely won't? Miles has coached against OU, Nebraska, A&M, Texas....while Meyer has coached against BYU, Air Force, UNLV, New Mexico.....Yep, that's overwhelming alright!
