Everybody sees it; few discuss it. What is wrong with Justin Vincent? No chronic injuries, no attitude problems according to the coaching staff. The kid hasn't been in trouble with crime or drugs. But he just isn't the same. There's no BAM when he hits the holes, no cuts and jukes to make people miss, no evidence of the speed all Tiger fans saw when he broke free multiple times in his freshman year. And he's fumbling more than ever. So what is it?! And can he magically return to freshman form to enhance the Tigers' chances of winning on Saturday?:eek:ldskule:

He's going to have his best game of the season this Saturday - he does well on turf... really well.

I think JV has looked much better this season, but I agree he hasn't been able to regain his 2003 form yet.

My theory? Michael Clayton. He was the best downfield blocker I've ever seen at LSU. He would lay em' out and clear the way for JV to sprint through on the ends.

Justin Vincent is fine. You will see this Saturday night!

In fact, he will do so well that he will solidify my lead in TFL.

he's simply heavier due to more muscle mass which looks like could be the reason he is slower. either that or indecision or both.

Justin is just a bit slower, that's all. After his injury, he bulked up a bit to be more durable in the tough SEC. He needed to--being out hurt doesn't help him or his team. But it cost him some speed and he ain't the first one that has happened to.

    That is so ignorant...

    People always say that...

He doesn't have the HUGE holes to run through anymore...

    That is ALL it is...

I agree that he seems faster on turf. I also think the mass he picked up has slown him down a bit overall.

However, I think maybe his fumble problems really contributed to a change in his running style and confidence. I've noticed him covering the ball more with two hands and just taking on guys head on instead of really looking for a cut. This is not necessarily bad but not what we got used to seeing in 2003 season.

But.... if you watch that swing pass in Bama game, that was classic JV. He caught the ball put a move on the first guy and then made some great yardage.

I still think he is good and gaining confidence each down he plays. He'll kick a$$ this weekend. Watch out Dawgs, he's coming for you!!
