There is much more civility on this forum

than on a certain other forum, which is also dedicated to LSU sports. On that other forum, it seems many who post there are primarily looking for an opportunity to engage in name calling rather than have an intelligent discussion about LSU sports. On that other forum, the incivility that these so-called LSU fans direct toward each other couldn't be any worse than what fans of other colleges might expect some LSU fans would direct toward them. "Name calling is the last refuge of the intellectually-bankrupt."

 

Welcome, many a transplant has started with the same post that you just made. I found this place before the "other" site and now would never dream of being a member there. This is our own little best kept secret. Enjoy your stay, look out for @lsutiga

 

If its the same site I am thinking of, then you are correct. I'm here today for the same reason. Tired of internet tough guys on that site constantly condescending/insulting others for posting opinions that differ from their own. It is amazing the difference in the tone of the posts compared to the two boards. I can read this board with out wanting to get up from my computer and go kick my dog. Very knowledgeable people over there, but most are very rude and full of themselves. Anyway, nice to find a board that doesn't make me tense. Lets talk some LSU Football!

Brett has done a great job with the site. He also has appointed some good people as mods who maintain order. I prefer this site over any other when it comes to LSU football. Welcome and I hope your stay here is enjoyable.
