ROFLMAO!!!!I think there is secretly just one football writer in the country and he coins a phrase for a guy and sticks with it. It's like "legendary Coach Paterno" or "Marcus Vick, the brother of Michael Vick" Anyway, it'll be on display on the front page of the ESPN.com college football page all day for ya. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/index
yeah, some of these soundbites get really weary after awhile. The one about Pollock's motor has seen better days for sure. Another one is "planting the flag at the top of the mountain."
i don't have a problem with the statement, I just commented that it has gotten very stale due to overuse......
Yeah, here's a few I can do without: "on the frozen tundra of.....field" "the cozy confines" "legitimate 4.3 guy" "he's a motivator" "players' coach" "sucks the sweat off a dogs balls like Cadillac Williams"
I for one am getting very tired of hearing about Pollacks motor, especially when he only had a mediocre season last year. The guy is a good player but flat out gets too much (undeserved) hype.
