Supposedly Petrino said 'no comment' at a press conference when asked about the LSU situation.

The cardinals are going absolutely nuts!

They are going nuts, and I don't blame them.

First John L. and his tasteless "going to Mich. St." announcement at halftime of the freaking bowl game, then the TT fiasco with Auburn, and now this: interviewing for the LSU gig 3 days before the biggest bowl game in UL history...not even two weeks after he says he's going nowhere fast.

Life isn't fair, I know, but I do undserstand their anger right now.

BTW, their rumored Petrino replacement? Scott Linehan, current OC with the Vikings.

They kind of have a point, he said ALL the same things Saban said...

Basically they are getting a bit overexcited, for all they know LSU may not be interested in him. BUT this is almost a carbon copy of the Saban deal with us, all the stories about loving the place, happy here no interest in anything else. Then boom, I had a preliminary meeting...

Around here we know what Preliminary means...

Ha how true. But just like Saban leaving LSU..if he does leave at least he left the team better than he found it.

I've got friends and many OU ties over there. I'm an LSU fan first and an OU fan second. I read mostly for info over here. Me posting here is like preaching to the choir. Most of what I'd like to say has already been said.

So if I find out that most of my friends that should come over to my house and we talk football and I find out later most aren't LSU fans then I'm not a loyal LSU fan? Actually, only one of the many friends I have over to 'watch' college football is a die-hard LSU fan. The others are........Arkansas, OU,
Alabama and there is also an Ohio State fan.

For your info after LSU beat OU in the Sugar Bowl I made quite the drunken smackass talking fool of myself at Soonerfans.

I've been following LSU football since Charley Mac beat Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl. I've been to countless LSU games. Too many to remember.
I've been to two OU games. I know where my heart is. I don't think post counts on forums is an indicator. Personally I think my wife would be happier if I toned down my LSU addictions.

I remember during the weeks leading up to the Sugar Bowl.. Geekboy was the punchline of almost all jokes at soonerfans. He said some pretty ridiculous stuff over there and tok a LOT of heat for weeks. Most of his posts there are thsoe in which he kept digging his grave deeper and deeper.

He's loyal to LSU though. I know that much from reading his digging. :) :geaux:

The really hideous thing was one night before the Sugar Bowl my OU buddy and an OU alumni was over at the house from Dallas.

He never used the 'football' forums before and saw me online at Soonerfans.
He said he wanted to get on and say a few things. Of course he had some 'cocktails' before getting on. Like an idiot (I was three sheets to the wind also) I let him get on and type away.

After he posted it I saw where he was declaring he was an OU fan and upset over the BCS nonsense and LSU maybe getting screwed. Ironically he's an OU fan first and an LSU second. I took him to several LSU games and almost made him a complete convert even though he attended OU.

I thought that's great. He's using my screen name and claiming to be an OU fan. I don't think I ever cleared that up over there.

Anyway, most of the folks over there are good people. I'm trying to be a representative of what most LSU fans really are...........good people. Alot of them claim to have had a bad experience with fans at the Sugar Bowl.

    Oh well.

Just a clarification regarding the Petrino statement. When asked about Jurich granting UL's permission for BP to speak with LSU officials, BP responeded they he had indeed "met with" members of the search committee. A subsequent question asked if he had an offer from LSU and Petrino responded, "no comment." :thumb:
