Quote from a Miami forum that is outstanding........ "You had to be at the game to see this.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ but by the 2nd half, when LSU would pound out an 8-10 yard run..back near or around the LOS their was like a path of destruction. Miami guys on their face on their back, and it wasn't just 1 or 2 guys sometimes..I remember seeing 3 guys laid out 1 time. It was total domination. They laid there like they were hurting too for awhile on the play where 3 guys were laid out on the turf." http://mb27.scout.com/fmiami20779frm1.showMessage?topicID=133643.topic
Both Addai and Hester laid a few out downfield as well. We definitely were vblowing them off the line most of the night.
Yeah, that was undoubtedly the Tigers' most physical effort of the year. Maybe they really were that tired from that long string of games...
Yeah, I agree. I kind of discounted that during the year, but it sure looked like a fresher, healthier team last night.
You didn't have to be at the game to see it. On almost every play you see linemen blowing up their defensive counterparts and then looking downfield for someone else to knock down. This may have been Whitworth's best game this year. Those guys were hungry...
Bama would have never played LSU close if your team was afforded the same season that other teams had. The SECCG would, also, have been a real war. IMHO.
I don't think there is any maybe about it. I think the Tigahs were exhausted physically and mentally from everything that happened early in the season.
This particular theory was articulated a few months ago. In light of the Peach Bowl Annihilation of The "U" by "LSU", one must give serious consideration to the possibility that the theory might be correct and accurate. Perhaps we were too hard on our Tigahs after we lost to Georgia.
cmon, its been well documented that miles is in over his head, pellini has a bad scheme and jimbo is uncreative.
