I was reading LSU poster's comments and feelings on the possible IA-LSU Cap One game, and I am VERY impressed with the respectful tone of your posts. Usually, IA fans are used to non-Big Ten fans patronizing us or questioning our credentials as a program. We have played top 25 football for 90% of the last twenty-five years, and that fact is sometimes lost on opposing fans, who think we are only products of the last 4 year's success. As defending Champs, I expected much loud-mouthed, condescending posts, but my hats off to your show of class. Don't get me wrong, though, I hope the Hawks pound the Tigers in the game, and I know you feel the same conversely, but I love good-natured, friendly banter. That's why I love college sports.

    Good Luck wherever you go.

    GO HAWKS!!!

The SEC, The Big-10, The Big 12.

Anybody that wins in these major football conferences is respected by any fool that follows football. Now, we may give you some serious ribbing about the style of football you play in that leadfooted, black-shoed, ice-encrusted league from the nawth.

But we know a football team when we see one.

Like all major D-1 programs, we have our share of knuckleheads, but most of us are good people. Hope you stick around.

    You guys are alright

Oh don't worry, there will be more than a few of IA's finest showing their odiferous hind ends on this board. I will be bookmarking this site, and hope to have about six weeks of good natured chat leading up to an IA-LSU matchup.

Also, we like the cold weather because it keeps the 'skeeters away. I assume you guys just use your banjos to swat them. Feel free to respond with corn or pig jokes. We'd bring you some corn, but I don't you have the teeth for it. I will now go ahead and apologize fro my off color ribbing. It's just that my pig, Suzi, has been giving me the cold shoulder lately, and I'm sufferring from loss of affection.:dis:

I think you'll fit right in with us Tiger fans...the problem with some fans is they can't take any ribbing or a few Tiger Baits directed toward them...I can already tell you'll take the Tiger Bait and hit us right back with some other ribbing. You'll be fed well in Orlando and have some food that you could only dream you could get in Iowa.

back in 1997 the independence bowl was going to set up an LSU / Iowa matchup but instead Notre Dame came.

Iowa people were complaining it would be a home game, but some Iowa fans said the respect would come beating LSU in back yard.

anywho, i think orlando is as neutral a site that these two teams could have

"THE STATES"...I don't get it Big Dan ("Oh Brother Where Art Though"). Is this some Southern thing, or are you calling me Canadian? 'Cause if you are calling me Canadian, then I'll have to bring out the F-word......French. Take that you gumbo slurpers.
