Hawthorne screws up a lot It is Michael Jones according to the Box Score and Hawthorne did says Matt Jones. Basketball is Hawthorne most challenging sport for him to broadcast - it is a little fast for him. If you ever watch a game and listen to the broadcast it can be quite hilarious at times. He has a hard time judging distance and yards gain in football. Although Hawthorne has one thing that a lot of announcers do not have - flare for the unexpected and passion. The mistakes can be forgiven. Whether it is Matt Jones or Michael Jones, Arkansas has just rip our guts out in sports the last year.
Come on Tigerlifer. Keep positive. Remember, we started 99-00 1-3 in SEC play and then ended up winning the league title and advancing to the Sweet 16. The season is long and league play is only 1/4 of the way finished. If they play like they did tonight, it will be a long season. If they play like they did 2 weeks ago then the season won't be long enough.
