Should be a pretty good match-up this weekend.
We have better offensive numbers pretty much across the board, but they have the better pitching numbers.

    Team Batting Stats:

    LSU: .305 BA, 88 HR's, 7.78 Runs per Game, .971 Field %
    UCI: .306 BA, 35 HR's, 6.09 Runs per Game, .969 Field %

    Team Pitching Stats

    LSU: 3.83 ERA, 509 K's, .259 BAA, 4.68 Runs per Game, 51 HR's
    UCI: 2.88 ERA, 477 K's, .249 BAA, 3.77 Runs per Game, 28 HR's

I just think that it is unbelievable that we are even gonna be in a Super Regional. Cake walk, hell no. Tough faught and victorious, the Tigers take it. IMHO. Just cuz UC Irvine took down Neb doesn't mean they will take us down. Neb has been on the slide for the past month, whereas we have been on the rise. Longest win streak in SEC history, pretty impressive don't ya think? :geaux: :tigbas: :LSU231:

It would be great to see our boys continue on to the CWS, but how many of you honestly thought it was possible before the year started? As I watched these guys, I could tell they were a few tweaks away from being consistent, but I really never dreamed they could have a streak like this.

This is all gravy for me.:thumb:

My wife and I went to the last game they lost before the streak (Saturday game vs. UGA).
After that game, I would have bet a year's salary against them even qualifying for post season play.
But damn I was glad to see the Box look like the Box again this past weekend. :thumb:

yes, it is. even before the mid-season melt down, i would not have imagined they would go this far in my wildest dreams. my thinking was that a great season would be to go deep in the sect and get to a regional. during the "slump" thinking that not only going to a regional and super, but hosting them, would have been possible only with good drugs. :hihi:

to say this team has turned in around in all aspects of the game is an understatement. the team that i kept wanting to show up while listening to the rough part of the season has. i am proud of this team no matter what!:thumb:
