Super 8 hotel is $66.00 plus tax and it is 4 blocks from the Georgia Dome. Wow, I was looking forward when we didnt have a hotel, now I'm ready to leave for the ATL right now.

Well, I just booked the Hyatt. Supposedly it is 2 blocks from Marta station that is three stops to the Dome. Expensive as hell, but what the heck, not like I do this all the time.

I booked one in Duluth. I've got some UGA buddies over in that area.

For all of y'all coming to Atlanta, just be careful in downtown and around the Ga. Dome (especiialy up and down the Northside Drive/Marietta Street corridor). I've lived in Atlanta since leaving New Orleans 10 years ago, and I can tell you -- treat Atlanta as you would the bad parts of New Orleans. Stay in a group after dark, wallets in the front pocket and don't wander off the beaten path. You know the drill.

Always nice to have all the LSU fans up here turning the place into a mini Baton Rouge.

And don't go above ground at the Five Points Marta stop.

Hotels near the airport are cheap but you'll need to get inebriated in order to sleep. You'll have a 747 over your room every 3 minutes (busiest airport in the world). Why get a room near the Dome? The partying Friday night and after the game will be in Buckhead. MARTA (trains and busses) stops running at 1am so if you're out past that time then you'll need some major cash both nights for cabs back to your hotel. You want a cab in Atlanta at 2am? I've got a room in Buckhead, 2 blocks from ESPNZone and the rest of the establishments.:thumb:
