http://www.lsureveille.com/sports/f...cle_89016836-3d28-11e3-bcdf-0019bb30f31a.html Tiger Band members started a Facebook page titled “Keep ‘neck’ and oh-wee-oh’ clean” on Tuesday, revealing the return of “Oh-Wee-Oh” for Saturday’s homecoming game against Furman. The page urges students to keep the cheer clean, and if students abide, “Neck” could return for good. . . Maybe even Tiger Rag.
Unfortunately they're still going to yell it. It was going on during the Florida game, and the band wasn't even playing "Neck". It was disappointing, especially with my son there with me.
Which is why they should just keep playing the songs. They could remove every last song in the rotation and have Tiger Band sit on their butts for 3 and a half hours, and it will keep happening. If the administration is that concerned about it, then they can start some kind of campus initiative. Or start with some kind of town hall meeting. LSU does that every time they want to hire a new Assistant Deputy Associate Apprentice Understudy Vice-Chancellor of Campus Diversity, so there's no reason they can't do something similar to address the rampant profanity.
