Washington 11. Oklahoma 12. Ga. Tech 13. Ole Miss 14. Penn St. 15. South Car. 16. Vandy 17. Miss. St. 18. Alabama (you said consider the whole picture :lol: ) Actually, it's hard to rank them because they are all different in their way. I enjoyed going to all of them.
I can only list the best ones that I've been to. I don't count TV as giving you a true stadium experience. So I won't list Notre Dame, cause I've never been there. 1. Tiger Stadium, LSU 2. Kyle Field, Texas A&M 3. Swamp, Florida 4. Jordan-Hare, Auburn 5. Vaught-Hemingway, Ole Miss 6. Bryant-Denny, Alabama Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee have reputations but are overated in my opinion, . . . or maybe I was there on a bad day. The Bayou Classic in the Superdome needs to be done at least once in your life. Sometimes the battle of the bands is better than the football, which is usually good.

#1: Tiger Stadium, LSU: I have only driven past it and still got a vibe, plus the stories my relatives have told me.... #2: Cotton Bowl: the place is a dump, except when it's full. When the teams are evenly matched, there is not a better place to watch....and they don't even sell beer inside! #3: Rose Bowl: similar to #1, something about just driving by... #4: Kinnick Stadium, Iowa: place rocks when the Hawks are doing well, and the band was BANNED from playing Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" because the whole crowd would yell the chorus... #5: DKR, Austin: when it's a big game, it is electric.... Overrated, IMHO: Kyle Field, A&M (cool if you go to school there I suppose, crappy and dizzy if you are a visitor; Ohio Stadium; Michigan Stadium... Honorable mention: (places I'd like to see game) Florida, Georgia, FSU, Nebraska....

I am going on Past experience. So some of this is over a period of time. And I am going by LOUDEST. Not neccessarly the largest. On a loud day ..The Swamp LSU - No doubt the home field advantage is definitely back SYR - The Carrier Dome (Back in the McNabb Days) Neyland - Now this is funny that so many people said Neyland but there was plenty who said overrated or quiet. You know what? I do NOT disagree. UT used to be a madhouse and was one of the most electric places to play. Late 80's and the early 90's people used to bring out the sound meter and compare it to a airplane going by or taking off. I have noticed a huge dropoff in sound and intimidation there. How is it, that you have over 104,000 people on average but can't be any louder than it has? I will tell ya why! To many old people sitting on season tickets and even shhh ing people when they get to loud. THATS PATHETIC. Also after the 98 NC season this fan base got spoiled and forgot how to be fans no matter if they make it to a major bowl or not. So I agree with what some have said.
