    What makes everyone think Del Rio will be available? If memory serves me correctly they are in the playoff hunt.

    because he said that LSU and USC were the only two jobs he would ever leave JAX for.

    I like Dennis Erickson. Great college coach, not really geared towards the NFL. The only problem with Erickson is that you can't keep him pinned down for long. I don't like that. Anyway, Erickson has a NC with Miami and a near miss with Oregon State just a few years ago. Word has it that he inquired about the Ole Miss job. If that his true, he will be interested in the LSU job as well.

    i dont like Erickson for the reason that he made Miami "Thug U" and Butch had to come in and clean up after the sanctions and such. That freaks me out.

    That's a good point. he did the same thing up in Oregon with L.A. area players, but what he did do was coach what he had. And he did a damned good job. Any coach that comes to LSU will rely on La. talent first and foremost. Lord knows we have it, so I don't see the coach having to bring in these "thugs" from other parts of the country.
