This is not a flame, but why would anyone support Rodriguez when he was picked to run the table in the "big" East and let a 8-3 Pitt team win the division instead. If he can't win the big east at WVU, he has not shot at the SEC.

I agree with your post about Del Rio. I don't think he'll leave Jax.

    My top 5 wish list:

    1. Butch Davis --well-known coach with lots of success on the college level. Great recruiter.

    2. Norm Chow --lots of experience coaching. Could develop our skill position players even faster that what they might have with any other coach.

    3. Mike Reilly --seems to be a good "character guy". Has had some real good years at Oregon St., where I feel if you can recruit there and be successful, he would have better success with the talent in Louisiana.

    4. Tedford --he wanted Cal to commit to improving fascilities. How is this for fascilities here at LSU?!?!? :thumb:

    5. Romeo Crennel --very good defensive coach. another Belichick defensive coordinator. Very much wants a head coaching gig.

I agree with you, but Rich is a good coach and I wouldn't mind having him. I think its cause WV just isn't as good as everyone thought. You can't take these pre-season polls serious, I mean if no one predicted that they will win the Big East and win the NC then we would of thought WV had a great season. Rich Rodriguez is a good coach and I think if he got a chance at LSU that he would have success.

Rich Rodriguez is a complete joke on a head coaching search list for LSU...Period point blank, he shouldn't be on any list...He's not worthy, and he hasn't proven squat...

My top 5, in NO particular order...

    1. Butch Davis
    2. Jon Gruden
    3. Del Rio
    4. Norm Chow
    5. Crennel

I know absolutely NOTHING about Crennel...

The thing about Butch is that he had success in the Big East and just completely got ****ed in the NFL. I don't see him making it in the SEC, but I may be wrong.

It is not possible to make a good top five because who knows who we could actually get. My top 5 would be something like:
    1. Bill Belichick
    2. Bill Parcells
    3. Bob Stoops
    4. Pete Carroll
    5. Jimmy Johnson

I don't know who is really available. I suspect none of these people is available.

Realistically, my top ten would be this (in no particular order after the top few.)

    1. Steve Spurrier (I don't know if he would want to leave South Carolina at this point.)
    2. Butch Davis
    3. Jeff Tedford
    4. Romeo Crennel
    5. Bobby Petrino
    6. Pat Hill
    7. Dan Hawkins
    8. Jack Del Rio
    9. Brad Childress
    10. Frank Beamer
