STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma State and current LSU football coach Les Miles returned to Stillwater this week hoping to talk to his former team. But Miles says new OS-U coach Mike Gundy would not allow him to speak to the players. LINK Pretty lame act by the new coach.
Seems pretty bush league to me too, but that's his prerogative I guess. Make it a clean break. Oh well, he can use that time better to recruit and talk to our players.
Coach Miles is one of the few coaches that has tried to go back and speak to his kids. I know school being out messed up the timing of speaking to his kids. Franchione and a few others did not make an attempt to speak to their kids after they left. Again this speaks highly of Coach Miles' class and character. Coach Miles hired Gundy at some point and time. Sounds like Gundy just burned a big old bridge. What goes around comes around.
Miles inherited Gundy...he didnt hire him. Im surprised the players arent making more noise about this?
Every time someone makes a post talking about how LSU(Skip) or Miles did something wrong or lied or something, the truth comes out and we see they are truely good, high character guys. Kudo's to Les for making the effort as he said he was going to do. Gundy must be very insecure.
If I were Les I would use this as my chance to take a few players from OSU. It would serve their new coach right for being such a jerk.
Well you would think the President or AD would have a veto to Gundy if Miles really wanted to talk to the team. Sounds like Gundy wanted to call Homeland Security and report Les without having a vistor's pass or something.
If I was Miles, it would give me the green light to recruit any kid on the OSU list, or maybe he already took it.
