Hello all: I am about to embark on the long journey back to my home tomorrow morning. My mom is in the last stages of her life and has taken a sudden turn for the worse. Me and my sister from Portland will be joining my brother in BR to be with my mom during her final days on this earth. It will be a sad Christmas homecoming for my sister and I, but there's no place in the world that I would rather be right now. I am writing this to remind all to show everyone that you care about that you really love them. Especially during the holidays, but also throughout the year. I hope that all of you here at TigerForums have a great Christmas. I probably won't be around much the next couple of weeks, but I look forward to the day that I can rejoin all of you here again on a regular basis. Believe it or not, I'll miss y'all. Peace.
BayAreaTiger - I barely know you and I choked up reading that. I am very sorry to hear about your mom, but I know she will take comfort in you and your siblings being with her. We look forward to welcoming you back. God Bless
Sorry to hear of your Mom's situation and may God be with and your family. Thank goodness you guys can be with her, I'm sure that will help her out a lot.
God be with you and your family. Thanks for reminding me of what is really important this Christmas season.
There is not much a man can say at these times, mon ami, . . . except I've been there too. I lost my Dad on January 11, 1999. The Christmas of 1998 was difficult for us as Dad declined. But my friends and my family had my back. I'm PMing you my phone number. If I can give you a lift, run an errand for you, or help in some small way, don't hesitate to call. Death is part of life and we all have to face this at some point. I'm very glad that you could be home at this time.
BAT, You and your family will be in my prayers this Christmas season. I lost my very dear Grandfather to cancer just before Christmas, 1995, so I know how difficult it can be. I do know that it will be a soul comfort to your mother to have her children around her at this difficult time, so God Bless You...I'm glad you will all be able to be there for her. Like Red, I will also PM you my phone #. If I can be of any service at this difficult time, please let me know.
