LSU wide receivers coach Todd Monken is leaving Tiger Town for the NFL. He will be going to Jacksonville. Reported by Ch. 9.
Damn, he is an excellent recruiter and maybe one of the best for the Tigers. At least it was after NSD. I wish him good luck at the next level.
Not sure why you're a bit surprised he jumped to the NFL from a position coach in the college ranks. Sounds like a great move for someone who is obviously deserving. Crowton will get his guy I am sure. We should be able to get whomever we want (within reason).
Not really suprised, I just know his family was happy here. I'm sure it will be a dual effort with he & Miles. My guess is that Crowton may have a guy or two in mind, if neither of those works out then Miles will find a few options & get Crowton's opinion on them.
Correct me if I'm wrong as I was halfway paying attention, but I thought WAFB said he was taking a similar job (WR Coach) for about the same amount of money. I wonder if not getting the OC job convinced him to look elsewhere.
