    Nice Article

    Toliver impressing early

Chad Jones will not redshirt if he comes to LSU next year. I could have confirmation if he is coming to LSU tomorrow if my wife is not mistaken. Dont want to get anybody's hopes up too soon but I will let yall know.

    Arnold looking good after injury.

I truly would not expect Jones to redshirt, especially since we could lose him to either MLB or NFL in three years. A redshirt would be a waste.

As for Lee, the article says that Miles had previously said that nnjnkm,,m (sorry, the baby hit the keyboard). Anyway, it says Miles had previously said that Lee wouldn't redshirt, but I honestly don't remember any instance of Miles saying that. I think Miles said that he may not have the luxury of redshirting Lee, but if he ever gave a definitive statement that he would NOT redshirt, I haven't seen it.

Ok here is what I got. I am not going to list specific locations or who the information is coming from specifically. My wife told me yesterday that another football player named Chad started working at the office. Charles Scott and Shaun Jordan are working there as well and in the past other players such as Skyler Green work summer jobs. And yes they actually do work.

My wife often gets confused :hihi: so I waited for confirmation from a family member of mine and a couple of friends. Chad Jones is working at the office now. At first I thought well if he is working there then he must be settling down to start his career at LSU. However, when talking to a big LSU fan down there he said that contract negotiations are still in the works with the Astros and that baseball is still 1st in his mind. I was hopeful that one day football would gain some ground on baseball but looks like it is just wishful thinking and that is not going to change. But it is his choice and all I can do is hope, right.

I still am taking a little away from this because he for some reason started working way after other players from the team. Maybe Les or his dad asked him to start preparing like every other player from LSU because the negotiations arent as good as he would like. I mean if I felt confident I was about to get a million dollar signing bonus in the next few weeks, why would I work during that time. But Miles could have made it mandatory for him. Who knows.

I will let yall know more details. I will be making my way down there sometime this week or next and I will let yall know anything I come up with.

No matter what happens between now and then, we won't know ANYTHING for sure about Jones until August 15. Everything he does that looks positive between now and then is potentially just posturing for a better contract offer.

BTW, Shawn Jordan is a really terrific football player who doesn't get his due here. Everyone wants to see Hester and Keiland in the backfield together, but I'd take Shaun Jordan with either Hester OR Keiland over either of those. Jordan is a great lead blocker. I think the dude has the potential to be an NFL fullback. He just doesn't get props from average fans who want to see more flash and dash from the fullback position.

Jones won't redshirt because he's a dual-sport athlete, and if he redshirts in football he wouldn't gain an extra year in baseball.

That's great news that Toliver is doing well. Many people thought Byrd would get more PT because he's coming from JUCO, but with him missing this 7 on 7 summer training, Toliver is getting the edge right now. I'm betting Toliver sees some action either way.
