yeah, i don't mind his style but his opinion sucked. i disagreed with about every other thing he said.
"Pssst. Come here. Got a secret: Do you know the SEC has produced just one Heisman winner since Auburn's Bo Jackson won the award in 1985? It's true. The last SEC hero was Florida's Danny Wuerffel in 1996. Yeah, kinda sad, isn't it?" I gotta secret too, moron. Did you know that we could care a less? We spend more time putting up winning seasons than catering to popularity contests, thanks.
Terry should like this- like old Bear said, "We're not about winning Heisman's.....we're about winning National Championships". The SEC that is. :thumb:
I like that mentality more. Football is a team game and I would rather have a roster full of good players than a bunch of average players and one superstar. The Heisman has turned into a giant media aided homecoming style popularity contest. I haven't agreed with the past winners except for last year. Mr. Bush did things with the football I never thought possible.
The Heisman is normally the offensive player of the year award. This naturally goes to a player who excells against weaker defenses. The defensive caliber of SEC football is not condusive to inflationary offensive statistics.
