When you look at the Coaches Poll & check out the collegefootballnews offensive position rankings, some surprises are evident as related to ranking & overall offensive talent. Overhyped teams abound. Texas is one of them & is VASTLY OVERRATED with RBs & Receivers ranked in the 40's. Auburn is a another overrated team with only a single Top 25 offensive ranking (WR#9).

USC & LSU stand head and shoulders above the rest (CFN offensive rankings). No doubt a result of great recruiting classes this decade.

    TEAM------OFF. RANK---QB---RB---RECV---OL---Range---Overall Total Pts

    1. USC---------1--------1-----1-----2------3----(1-3)----8 Pts :thumb:

    2. Texas-------10-------4-----42  49-----1----(1-49)---106 Pts

    3. Tenn--------3--------5-----18----4-----15----(3-18)---45 Pts

    4. Mich---------5-------14----13----14-----6----(5-14)---52 Pts

    5. OKLA--------13------23-----2----31-----30---(2-31)---99 Pts

    6. LSU----------2-------11-----3----1------4----(1-11)---21 Pts :thumb: :thumb:

    7. VaTech------9-------17-----12---15-----28---(9-28)---81 Pts

    8. Miami--------19------27-----38---13----14----(3-38)---111 Pts

    9. Ohio St------11------12-----46----3-----24---(3-46)----96 Pts

    10. Iowa--------21------9------87---24----11---(9-87)---152 Pts

    11. FLA---------4--------6-----27----7-----12---(4-27)---56 Pts

    12. FSU---------18------46----10----29----16---(10-46)--119 Pts

    13. GA----------7-------15-----5----56-----2----(2-56)---85 Pts

    14.Louisville-----8-------28-----19---12-----8----(8-28)---75 Pts

    15. Auburn------30------76  37-----9---40----(9-76)---192 Pts

    Conclusions:
    1. LSU WAS SCREWED BY THE COACHES POLL. :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
    2. Based on CFN position rankings, no way Texas & OU get to the NC game, much less a BCS Bowl game.
    3. Tennessee, Florida & Michigan round out the TOP 5 (Offensively) & all have respectable offensive unit consistency except FLA RBs are out of the top 25.
    4. Defensive rankings are out tomorrow by CFN. No doubt LSU will be in the Top 5 again.

LSU wasnt screwed. Coaches and intangibles arent factored in that little equation. Les Miles is not considered a top 10 coach in college football so he doesn't carry the weight that proven coaches of a petey and a lil nicky or even phat phyllis.

whether people like it or not, urban myth meyer is seen on a higer level than Les Miles across the country by coaches and fans.

but so was stoops before they met for a little sugar. he simply has to prove himself and this year prolly wont be enough since its 'saban's talent'.

dont think that means they're overhyped. they have a great qb and great ol. dont care so much about wr and rb.

That and the fact that they play one another in the regular season. One of them is bound to lose.
